Max and Taz's Story. . . .

Max came to live with us January of 2004. He was a perfect gentleman and though he was only with us for 4 days he touched my families lives and lives of our neighbors Chrystal and David Roberts.

Max died of Cardiomyopathy ( path report confirmed the necropsy). A disease process that is common in giant breed dogs. Unfortunately I would know again only too soon just how common.
Max went to sleep and just didn't wake up in the morning. Less then a month later Taz acted like he had a belly ache and then collapsed and died in my vets parking lot. (see Taz Here)

Max and Taz have brought me around full circle on health and the importance of health testing. I was very angry at first. Not wanting to accept that lightning could strike me for the 4th ( 5th if you count my cat) time in a year. I had gone 14 years with out a death of a pet. What I have come to realize is that I have been blessed, it put the fire back in me when it came to research and genetics. There are links to research info on Cardio HERE
