Your puppy/dog is guaranteed healthy at the time of purchase.  The purchaser has 48 hours (excluding Sundays) from the time of delivery to have the puppy/dog examined by his/her veterinarian for soundness of health.  If the veterinarian finds any major health problems, the cause, which is clearly attributable to the breeder, the purchaser may bring the puppy/dog back to the breeder, with a letter from the veterinarian explaining the problem he/she found.  The breeder must be contacted within the 48 hour period after purchase as to any problems, and the puppy/dog must be returned within 72 hours of purchase, at this time the breeder will, upon receipt of the puppy/dog and all items given with the puppy/dog (including the AKC papers to be signed back to the breeder) refund to the purchaser the full purchased price of the puppy/dog.

CONDITIONS OF GUARANTEE

All puppy/dog are to be registered using the breeder’s kennel name at the beginning of the registered name.  This is TTS.  Registered names need to be unique, so have fun! 

You must take your puppy to a veterinarian with in 48 business hours of purchase.  intl:_____________________

You must maintain all vaccinations and Heartworm prevention on you puppy FOR LIFE AND HAVE PROOF OF DOING SO.

The breeder is to be notified if the owner moves, keeping in contact through out your pet’s life is very important to us.

You may not transfer ownership, or place your TTS Great Dane with ANY ONE ELSE.  INTL_______________

You must agree to return the pup to the breeder if you can no longer keep your pet; there will be no compensation for the pets return.  All travel expenses are your responsibility. INTL:__________________________________

Upon surrender of TTS Dane:  all medical information, registration papers, chip papers, and any other pertinent information must be returned.

You may never abuse your pet in any way.

ABUSE AS DEFINED BY BREEDER:  Tying out side on a lead, trotline, or by any other means.  Leaving outside in poor weather conditions with out adequate protection: this includes, rain, heat over 85 degrees, cold weather under 50 degrees. 

ADEQUATE PROTECTION MEANS: A roof over their head, somewhere dry that is heated or air-conditioned (a fan is acceptable) with comfortable amount of space to lay down stretched out, with a padded, dry, substrate to lay on.

Hitting or physically harming the pet, with intent to cause harm

Verbal abuse, screaming and yelling at your pet is considered abuse.  If you are screaming and yelling you are not controlling the situation, the dog is. 

Inadequate confinement: this means that you are not keeping your pet in a well constructed yard with a fence that is at least six feet high.

You must keep your pet on a leash WHENEVER you have your pet out side your home. (With exception to off lead training)

Allowing your pet to be hit by anything (bike, car, boat, train, horse. cow) because of inadequate confinement is abuse.  

Over feeding to the point of obesity. 

Underfeeding to the point of malnutrition.

Not keeping your pet on proper heartworm prevention resulting in a heartworm infection.

Not giving proper medical treatment in a timely manor. 

Failure to socialize and treat this dog as a member of your family is abuse.

Abandoning your pet.  Allowing ANYONE else to do the above mentioned is also considered abuse.  INTL____________________

The breeder reserves the right to inquire about and inspect the way the puppy/dog is kept.  If the puppy/dog is mistreated, (allowed to run loose, left in unsanitary conditions, unhealthy, etc.) the breeder has the right to take the puppy/dog from the owners with no compensation to the owner.  The owner will be required to sign the papers over to the breeder.

The breeder is not responsible for any veterinarian bills or other bills the owner may incur after purchase of the puppy/dog. INTL_________________

Your pet puppy/dog is guaranteed against inherited hip problems for life.

Hips:

Hips are guaranteed to be free and clear from congenital problems.  X-rays must be taken by a board certified veterinarian and evaluated by OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) between 6 months and 24 months.  OFA shall be the sole judge regarding hips.  Dysplasia must be noted.  UNILATERAL HIP DYSPLASIA IS NOT COVERED ( this is when one hip joint is affected).  This is considered to be an environmental Dysplasia and not inherited.

Puppy must be fed with in the guidelines set by the breeder INTL___________

Eyes are guaranteed against non-cosmetic problems.

Eyes are guaranteed to be free and clear of congenital problems that result in sight impairment.  This diagnosis must be made by a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist and evaluated by CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation) by 24 months of age.  CERF shall be the sole judge of the heredity of eye problems. 

GENETIC DEFINITION:

Our Genetic guarantee is a guarantee for life against genetic malformations or conditions.  Genetic conditions must be proven to be so.  They must be detrimental to the pet’s health OR cause them not to be considered for breeding stock if they are of breeding quality.  This includes Blindness, Deafness, elbow dysplasia, mega esophagus, and may include other conditions that have been proven to have a genetic link.

IT DOES NOT INCLUDE:

Shoulder Dysphasia.  There is no viable test for this and at this time there is no way to screen. 

Demodectic mange: though there may be a genetic link, there has been no proof to back it.  This will only be covered if the condition is chronic and the dog was sold for show or breeding.  Meaning that the effected pup will no longer be seen as breeding dog and will then be covered under the conditions of the breeding or show dog guarantee.

Urinary tract infections: these are environmental and not genetic. 

Pet intelligence: self-explanatory really, TTS cannot guarantee that you will have the smartest dog in the world.  Dog’s come with a range of intelligence and Dane's in general are intelligent animals. 

They cannot all be A+ students.

Behavior problems: TTS can not guarantee personality.  Environment, socialization  and training are the most important factors in personality development. 

This guarantee does not include environmental damage and or “normal” puppy problems.  This includes: Pano, Hit by car, Trauma after delivery to new owners, death in transit.  ONLY SERIOUS DEFECTS, THOSE RESULTING IN CHRONIC HEALTH PROBLEMS, AND PROBLEMS THAT ARE PROVEN TO BE INHERITED ARE COVERED.  Feeding related problems ARE NOT COVERED, Only known genetic diseases are covered by this guarantee, coxccidia, demodex, heart worms, intestinal parasites, ringworm and any other non genetic infestation are not.  These are all acquired problems. Proper prevention's have been taken by the breeder to try to keep any of these common problems from occurring.  Sometimes puppies under stress will still get these problems regardless of the measures taken by the breeder.

Any veterinarian's diagnosis shall be subject to confirmation by a veterinarian chosen by the breeder.  Should said veterinarian not agree with the diagnosis, the matter shall be presented to a third veterinarian mutually agreed upon by the breeder and the purchaser. INTL_______________

WHAT DOES THE GUARANTEE MEAN?

We are not responsible for any health testing or treatment at any time in your Dane’s life.  We do not refund for any health testing or treatment on a dog that has been found to have a genetic problem. INTL:________________

If it is proven that there is a problem as outlined in the guarantee, then you are entitled to a replacement dog.

This will be no sooner then the next scheduled breeding and no later then 2 years. 

If you have been sold a Show prospect and it has a genetic problem then you are allowed the choice of another Show prospect as a replacement, OR a refund of the difference of the quoted price for a pet quality dog. INTL__________________

This will only be done after the first dog has been spayed/neutered and proof of this has been provided to the breeder.  The replacement dog must be of same quality, sex, and color.

All Pet puppies are on limited registration and are required to be altered.  INTL______________

Full Registration puppies will be required to have hips certified INTL________

OTHER STIPULATIONS:

If any physical trauma happens to your pup before the soundness guarantee is complete it will be null and void.  He/She will no longer be covered by the guarantee because any trauma may change growing patterns and lead to problems that may make him/her not sound.

Trauma is defined as hit by car, kicked by horse or other large animal, dog fight, trauma form another human being, blunt force trauma, severe sickness that could have been prevented (PARVO, pneumonia, poisoning.  Foreign body, things of this nature)

Also, understand that the guarantee for a replacement puppy will not stand if any of the stipulations occur.  YOU are bound to the contract in the care, showing and breeding of this puppy.

I signed letter from your veterinarian stating that the covered dog has NOT had a traumatic event to there knowledge must be provided  INTL___________

I have received and read FULLY TTS Guarantee, Puppy information pack, spay/neuter contract, and understand that all is binding. INTL____________

You have received a signed copy or the contract,  vaccination and worming information, chip information,  at least a three generation pedigree, health test information on Dam and Sire, AKC Papers will be provided as agreed.  Please note that some times it takes up to 6 months to get AKC papers to you.
